Minneapolis: Category Planning Manager

This newly created position will be responsible for leading our Customer Development/Category Management with SuperValu. SuperValu is the #3 Grocery Retailer/Wholesaler in the U.S. with $44B in enterprise sales. The position will focus on helping the customer complete their Chilled/Refrigerated juice category review and 2009 POGS and then will expand the scope of categories to Sparkling/Still BDB & Warehouse Sales later in 2008. The person selected for this postion will be a key member of the SuperValu/Target TBT and will work in the Customer’s offices 3 days per week.
Support Field Category Managers by developing and leveraging decision
support applications in order to drive Category Management and sales
initiatives to the retail trade.
- Support sales planning/customer marketing’s development of pricing,
merchandising and shelving strategies by utilizing tools (e.g., Nielsen
trade promotion analysis, marketing mix modeling, Spaceman and customer
planning tools) in order to ensure alignment with marketing objectives
and financial goals for the portfolio and brand.
Prepare reports/presentations of research results by efficiently
communicating critical learnings, consumer insights and conclusions in
order to provide actionable recommendations to audience.
