Suntory have succesfully completed the purchase of the New Zealand and Australia based Danone subsidiary Frucor.

It is believed that the deal was worth over $750 million in cash to Danone who are refocussing on theircore mineral water and nutritional foods businesses.

Leading brands owned by the French group Danone  include Badiot, Evian, Volvic, Badoit, Naya, Font Vella, Actimel and Activia.
