Recognized as a technical expert within the company and provides the business with expertise in the areas of microbiology and the handling of bio-systems for all B-F operations. Design and manage microbiology research with the strategic goal of optimizing the manufacturing of beverage alcohol. Develop and establish best practices and manage testing as it relates to the handling of bio-systems. Manage testing that relates to product microbiology safety and quality. Ensure proprietary yeast strains are maintained.Responsible for applying microbiological expertise and developing/executing operating procedures that optimize quality and yield in distillery processing.

Initiates, leads, and manages research initiatives. Applies findings to the business.
