California: Direct Sales Manager

The Direct Sales Manager is responsible for the growth and development of all direct customer sales through the website, phone and email. This position is also responsible for the winery’s online representation including maintaining the winery website, online advertising and listings, and social media outlets. The Direct Sales Manager builds direct sales relationships with all the winery’s customers outside of the tasting room by providing exceptional, high-touch customer service.

Responsibilities:
• Meet annual goals for website and phone sales.
• Ensure timely reporting and accuracy of monthly internet and phone sales.
• Work with management to develop annual direct sales marketing plan.
• Act as “personal shopper” for all winery customers, maintain customer buying preferences, anticipate customer needs and facilitate custom orders when necessary.
• Maintain ongoing website updates ensure all pricing and information is up-to-date and accurate and all areas of the website are functioning properly at all times, work with other winery managers on the development and enhancement of each department’s section on the website, ensure all department sections are accurate and up to date at all times.
• Manage fulfillment of web and phone shipments; prepare shipping forms, coordinate shipments with Tasting Room Manager, interface with outside shipping company as necessary, manage shipment of gift baskets and maintain wine inventory for direct sales.
