Canada: Retail Territory Manager

Optimize consumer fulfillment of Brand Promotions with flawless execution and ensure Diageo products have maximum on-shelf presence to our consumers in adherence to Liquor Board policy and private market. Ensure our products are available to consumers whenever a justified opportunity exists and enhance effective partnering with our customers to ensure consumer commitment is fulfilled.

Decision Making:
Analyzing COGNOS data to determine profitable distribution of Diageo brands· Determine which customers have the greatest Return on Investment, spend the budget accordingly

Financial Responsibility:
Responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of Diageo resources, Travel and Expense, regional budgets and unit volume· Deliver unit volume while maintaining the appropriate trading profit. Sign offs are required on amounts over $500 to $1000, varies by region.

Management Responsibility:
Reports into the District Sales Manager. Responsible for specified territory. If applicable, manage Merchandisers (Band 7) and third party representatives

Complexity of Role:
Working knowledge of Liquor License Act across market, retail route-to-market, brand strategy and, if applicable, beer operations; Analyzes information in SAMS and/or COGNOS to determine profitable brand distribution and new growth opportunities; Understanding of retail environment and it’s processes, ordering systems and inventory management.
