Illinois: Disrict Sales Manager


Del Monte Fresh Produce Company markets its fresh products worldwide under the Del MonteĀ® brand, a symbol of product quality, freshness and reliability since 1892.


Manage existing accounts and develop new business, consistent with program objectives. Ensure that sales building goals are achieved to support long term growth. Follow leads that could develop new accounts while generating profit.


1. Provide the highest level of customer service to continue generating repeat business.
2. Develop incremental business and new products with existing accounts.
3. Expand customer/revenue base for designated region.
4. Cultivate business relationships with phone interaction and face to face visits to ensure customer loyalty
5. Work with customers to achieve cost-efficient logistics and distribution of products.
6. Manage the Sales operating budget to remain within targeted numbers.
7. Work closely with the General Manager to promote Del Monte’s full product line.
8. Support administrative functions related to sales activities within the facility.
9. Work with the Marketing Department to promote Del Monte’s product effectively in your region.
10. Review market trends, pricing and competition on a regular basis.
11. Work with surrounding distribution centers to better facilitate orders, products, and deliveries
12. Responsible for all expos.
13. Partner with the Accounts Receivable group to ensure all customer accounts are up-to-date and within company terms.
