Minnesota: Wine Sales Account Representative


Griggs, Cooper & Co., a leader in beverage distribution throughout the state of Minnesota, is seeking a Sales Representative for our Wine Division in the Rochester, MN area. Must reside in or around the Rochester, MN area.

We are looking for an energetic individual who can sell, market and distribute Griggs, Cooper wine products in a professional and courteous manner. Basic wine knowledge required.


•Plan and execute a daily schedule of sales calls on a pre-determined route.

•Demonstrate the ability to apply the 10 Steps of a Sales Call to all daily calls.

•Effectively plan on a daily, weekly or quarterly basis, with quota and distribution objectives in mind.

•Meet or exceed the expectations of all store managers within territory.

•Service and improve the marketability of our products through shelf management, display position and frequency, cold box management, concept selling and price-point management.

•Monitor and collect payment for goods in accordance with state liquor laws.

•Maintain and implement daily “point of sale” on individual items and meet expectations for visibility and merchandising.

•Be present and punctual for mandatory sales meetings and brand kick-offs.

•Work with Supplier representatives and division managers in the field.

•Host staff training and wine education seminars for the accounts in your territory.

•Initiate and participate in in-store tastings to improve sales.
