California: Cellar Worker

We are: a young, ultra-premium, family-owned, estate-grown brand about to move into a new, state-of-the-art, all-indoor, gravity fruit delivery winery building. Current production of 12,000 cases annually, growing to 40,000 over the next 6-10 years.

You are: bright, motivated, hard-working and itching to be involved in a first-class operation in an up-and-coming wine region; mechanically inclined and have a solid academic background and at least 1 year experience in high-quality winemaking; cross-trained (or willing to be) in all activities of harvest and the rest of the year. You have a positive attitude and are able to maintain it through the harvest!

Harvest lasts from (approx) Labor Day to (approx) Thanksgiving. There is the potential to be hired on for year-round cellar work if you are a good fit.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Cleaning and sanitizing
• Receiving, sorting, crushing grapes
• Cleaning and sanitizing
• Pump-overs, punch-downs, additions to fermentors
• Cleaning and Sanitizing
• Racking and transferring juice and wine
• Cleaning and Sanitizing
• Shoveling pomace and operating presses
• Cleaning and sanitizing
• Barreling down juice and wine
• Cleaning and sanitizing
• Basic lab work, if qualified
• Cleaning and sanitizing.
