South Africa: Project Engineer – Engineering Department

RESPONSIBILITIES

To set up, co-ordinate and manage the implementation of Engineering Projects against defined project methodologies to achieve the required standards of product quality and safety within the agreed time frames and in the most cost effective manner.

KEY OUTPUTS

· Source and Prioritise Project Requests – CAPIN requests received, aligned to departmental business plans & budget target – Budget sacrifice system applied – Department budget compiled

· Project Initiation and Planning – develop project charters, develop detailed project scope statements, project business case presented for approval, design and implementation analysis conducted (HAZOPS, EIA, HACCP, Risk Analysis)

· Execute and Control Projects – complete detailed project plans, coordinate resources to carry out the project plan, ensure project compliance with company standards (technical, engineering, BIS, QA, administrative), manage project budget, manage project quality, close-out project and complete post project reviews.

· Manage Project Administration – Project document control applied (filing systems, communication, approval process), ensure project procurement and contracts are administered, project compliance with SAB project management systems (RFA approval process followed, capitalisations completed), document and maintain a lesson’s learned database for project management.
