Illinois: Sales Initiative Manager


We have an opening for the position of Sales Initiative Manager. The Sales Initiative Manager is responsible for executing the sales and marketing programming, sales initiatives and all package/product rollouts within their assigned portfolio segments. They will be the voice of sales and work in partnership with Marketing (Field & National), Commercial Planning, POS Fulfillment and Supply Chain to ensure programming and POS is developed and communicated in a seamless manner to field and chain sales to enable increased revenue. This position manages sales communications processes and tools within their assigned segment to ensure timely delivery of brand programming communications.

Job Responsibilities
1. Sales and Marketing Programming Communication and Management
‘ Development of clear, concise and timely communication of all marketing and sales programming through a variety of vehicles (selling decks, sell sheets, trimester planner content, webinars, etc.) to Field Sales and Chain Accounts enabling improved retail execution.
‘ Provide sales input to brand and retail marketing on marketing and sales programming & POS to ensure marketing programs and tools are efficient and able to be executed by field sales, chain sales and distributors

2. Lead development and implementation of key initiatives, e.g., new package / brand rollouts, incentives and activation days
‘ Manage key packaging initiatives and new package introductions on behalf of sales including volume generation process, developing selling stories for new brands and/or packages and working closely with Sales Communication Manager on packaging communications
‘ Participate in the cross-functional packaging stage gate process to ensure the effective commercialization of new packages and brands
‘ Provide input & play active role on brand packaging innovations development.
