The Talent Research and Acquisition team ensures the best talent is available to the business when and where needed. Diageo’s resourcing philosophy is very much centered around a direct-resourcing model. Talent Researchers, dedicated to a particular geography and business group are primarily responsible for filling immediate vacancies and building pipelines of candidates for future roles through direct sourcing techniques, and occasionally partnerships with external suppliers.

Dimensions of the role

This role will cover all of Africa and will focus primarily on the sourcing of senior level talent: Director /General Manager level. Might be involved in sourcing of graduates or MBA talent as and when needed.

Capability to build talent pipelines for approx. 200 roles per annum.

Requirements

· Key language capabilities: Fluent English and ideally French.

· Knowledge of the African market (must have)

· Experience in one of leading search firms/recruitment agencies or in-house talent research function would be critical (in research function

· excellent relationship building and influencing skills.

· Able to proactively source candidates from a variety of channels.

· Customer service mindset, able to influence key stakeholders.

· Able to ensure an excellent candidate experience even if they do not go forward to be hired.

· Understanding market trends and applying these to sourcing strategies.

· Ability to use and modern technologies in talent attraction processes such as Linkedin recruiter. Adept at online search techniques and well versed in online attraction strategies.
