Carlsberg Deutschland has announced the sale of the brewery in Braunschweig to Oettinger Brauerei GmbH effective as of 1 August 2009. Oettinger acquires the brewery with all production employees (approximately 150), all related assets as well as a number of discount and private label brands. [...more]

Carlsberg’s operation in Germany has offloaded its Braunschweig Brewery as the firm switches its focus towards its flagship international brand.
German brewery group Oettinger has bought the facility for an undisclosed sum, bringing the number of plants owned by the firm in the country to six. The deal is now subject to the relevant approvals.
The sale includes all related assets and a number of discount and private label brands produced at the plant. The approximately 150 staff employed at Braunschweig will be taken on by Oettinger. [...more]
Jean Marc Delphon de Vaux joined the firm – the second biggest brewer on the subcontinent – in August 2006 after leaving the top slot at France’s Lever Faberge. It is not known where Delphon de Vaux will go next.
“For personal reasons Jean Marc Delphon de Vaux has tendered his resignation and will be leaving the company on August 7th,” a spokesman confirmed today.
The spokesman said Delphon de Vaux’s departure was a “mutual decision” reached as his three-year tenure was coming to a close. [...more]
