Announcement: Inver House Distillers opens new £1Million Bottling Plant in Scotland

Inver House Distillers – which makes the Balblair and Old Pulteney single malts – yesterday official opened a new bottling plant at the company’s headquarters in Airdrie.
The £1 million bottling hall, which will create ten full-time jobs, was set up with a regional selective assistance grant from the Scottish Government.
Inver House is owned by International Beverage Holdings, the international arm of ThaiBev.

Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, ThaiBev’s chief executive, cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony.

Lena Wilson, chief executive of Scottish Development International, which has worked closely with the company, said: “The opening of Inver House’s new facility in Airdrie and Thai Beverage’s confidence in Scotland is excellent news, particularly during this time of economic uncertainty.

“It is also a significant development for our growing food and drink industry, which has been identified as offering a real opportunity for growth.”
