Diageo PUTS £3Million Behind Morgan’s Spiced Campaign


Diageo is looking to capitalise on the growing popularity of rum by raising the profile of its Morgan’s Spiced brand through a £3m multi-media summer advertising campaign.

The ‘Modern Adventurer’ campaign will launch on TV and in cinemas on July 6 across Scotland and the North of England, and later in newspapers.

The tongue-in-cheek advert features a group of young men on an “epic” journey to a local bar to sample the drink.

A select number of pubs and bars will host “interactive sampling experiences” where drinkers can try Morgan’s Spiced and cola.

Julia Bramham, Morgan’s Spiced marketing manager, said: “The brand is in fantastic growth at the moment and while it remains very popular in its Scotland heartland, we’re seeing real interest and growth in England and Wales.”

Morgan’s Spiced is up 21 per cent in the on-trade in England and Wales.
