Greene King Has Launched A Competition To Create A New Beer

The winning beer will go on sale in pubs from 20 October and the successful ‘brewer’ will see their name – plus the name they’ve given for the brand – on pump clips in bars throughout the country.

Entrants to the Brew us a Flavour competition will be invited to choose the aroma, taste, colour and alcoholic content of their beer.

Entry forms will be available in hundreds of Greene King pubs from today and throughout the whole of July.

A panel of experts will judge the competition and the winner will be invited to the Greene King brewery to work with the brewers and witness the brewing process.

The competition was launched at the Wheatsheaf pub, Fulham, by rugby star Lawrence Dallaglio. He has recently been involved with Greene King in the creation of a new beer – Dallaglio’s Heroes.

The rugby star said: “It was fantastic to be involved in the creation of my very own beer and it is a real thrill to be able to walk into a local pub and order a pint of Dallaglio’s Heroes at the bar. ‘Brew us a Flavour’ is a great opportunity for the nation’s would be brewers and I wish them luck!”

Greene King head brewer John Bexon said: “The nation is full of beer drinkers with strong views on the flavour and taste of beer and what constitutes a great pint.
