Oregon: Harvest Worker


Iris Vineyards is seeking fun, energetic, hard working people to fill full-time, temporary positions for the 2009 harvest season. Work will begin in September and end in November.

Successful candidates will be:

Able to work long sometimes irregular hours.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Capable of working safely with various kinds of machinery.
Willing to learn and accept new techniques or ideas.
Interested in sharing his/her ideas and knowledge.
Legally eligible to work in the United States of America.

Work activities may include: receiving, sorting and processing fruit, cleaning and sanitizing processing equipment, tanks, barrels and bins, collecting and analyzing samples of fruit, must, juice and wine, cleaning, operating a forklift, punchdown of small fermenters and monitoring red and white fermentations.
