SAB Miller India Managing Director Stands Down

The managing director of SABMiller’s operations in India has stood down, citing “personal reasons” for his departure.

Jean Marc Delphon de Vaux joined the firm – the second biggest brewer on the subcontinent – in August 2006 after leaving the top slot at France’s Lever Faberge. It is not known where Delphon de Vaux will go next.

“For personal reasons Jean Marc Delphon de Vaux has tendered his resignation and will be leaving the company on August 7th,” a spokesman confirmed today.

The spokesman said Delphon de Vaux’s departure was a “mutual decision” reached as his three-year tenure was coming to a close. His predecessor Richard Ruston spent six years in the role after renewing his three-year contract.
