The Queen applied to Aberdeenshire Council for a licence to sell drinks seven days a week at the castle in the Highlands.

In a letter to the monarch, VK Vodka Kick offered to supply the nation’s ruler with products for the bar, as well as advising on the experience that the Queen’s loyal subjects would like to receive.

Steve Perez, chairman of Global Brands, said: “We have become experts in the art of fun and so who better to advise Her Royal Highness on her new bar?”
