J. Lohr Vineyards is looking for an Assistant Vineyard Manager for its Greenfield Vineyards located in the Arroyo Seco appellation of Monterey County. The 900 acres of J. Lohr – owned vineyards include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Valdiguié.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor fellow employees for all worker safety procedures.
• Check labour crews to make sure that work is being done according to plan.
• Mix chemicals for fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, etc.
• Gather daily information from spray operators.
• Monitor vineyard equipment to make sure it is in working order.
• Interact with vendors, suppliers and visitors.

• Assist Vineyard Manager with new planting as well as the replanting of vineyards.
• Adhere to and promote J. Lohr Vineyard’s program of sustainable vineyard practices.
• Report to the Vineyard Manager and work with vineyard employees, the viticulture team and winemakers.
