Canada: Human Resource Generalist

Proactively developing and maintaining effective employee relations in a professional, consistent and fair manner through a hands-on approach.
- Coaching and advising management on general employee relation’s issues.
- Ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation as well as Corporate HR policies and procedures.
- Implementing and executing HR programs and procedures involving: employee relations, mentoring, management orientation and coaching, training and development, recruitment, compensation, benefits, pay equity, employment services, employee assistance program, monitoring and tracking semi-annual performance appraisals, coordination of separation activities, Human Resource Information Systems, corporate policy implementation/ roll-out
Main deliverables
- Leads all people related activities, including integrating and creating a new optimal culture and supporting global and Canadian HR initiatives.
- Develop a business/working relationship with the management team for assigned client groups, ensuring open communications and the development of a common agenda for change.
- Provide coaching and support to the leadership team to ensure that all people issues are handled in a fair and consistent manner.
- Work as employee advocate of the Leadership team to ensure appropriate consideration is given to employee issues within the business enabling maximum business results.
- Implement processes and procedures to ensure appropriate workforce planning and Leadership development activities are in place including: Succession planning (TMR), skills analysis, and people assessment skills.
