Canada: Human Resources Manager


Proactively develop and maintain effective employee relations in a professional, consistent and fair manner through a hands-on approach.

• Coach and advise management on general employee relation’s issues.

• Ensure compliance with appropriate legislation as well as Corporate HR policies and procedures.

• Provide leadership and support to line management in the areas of recruitment, compensation and incentive programs as well as performance management.

Leads all people related activities, including integrating and creating a new optimal culture and supporting global and Canadian HR initiatives.

• Develop a Business/working relationship with the Market Development management team, ensuring open communications and the development of a common agenda for change.

• Provides coaching and support to the leadership team to ensure that all people issues are handled in a fair and consistent manner.

• Is the employee advocate of the Leadership team to ensure appropriate consideration is given to employee issues within the business enabling maximum business results.

• Implements processes and procedures to ensure appropriate workforce planning and Leadership development activities are in place including: Succession planning (TMR), skills analysis, and people assessment skills.

• Coordination of the talent assessment and succession planning process for Market Development ensuring at least 2 back ups for each key leadership role as well as providing coaching to enhance the development of leaders.

• Implements processes and policies to ensure best practice HR and enabling a “value for money” cost.

Is a resource to support the Canadian HR teams for leadership & employee development issues.
