Customer Marketing Manager [based in Singapore]
Diageo is on a journey to become a more customer centric organization. Achieving this demands significant changes to the way we do Sales in Diageo, the capability of the Sales function at every level and the way that Sales and Marketing work together. In order to do this we will need to offer our customers solutions for building categories are based on shopper insights and in line with their Marketing propositions.
Customer Marketing is central to this journey. Our focus is on driving the development of category visions and point of purchase visions by channel: enable our Brand plans to have perfect point of purchase/point of consumption execution; translate business and category strategy into meaningful and acted upon channel and account-specific strategies and activities; excel in the provision of compelling shopper and customer propositions; bring the right strategic input into our Joined Up Business Planning process; ensure our programs & solutions show ROI.

Market Complexity
Diageo Asia Pacific was formed in February 2007 and consists of the following 6 diverse markets – Greater China, India, Australia, Japan, Korea and the South East Asia Hub. We operate in a dynamic market place with huge growth potential driven by positive economics and demographics
Leadership Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities for achieving market, customer and Joint Venture Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and customer plans executions and shopper/customer/category insights, across the Asia Pacific Markets. The position has no direct reports, but requires a strong interface between Marketing and Sales, Supply, Legal and Finance.

Purpose of Role
Develop & lead execution of fully integrated, shopper, customer and channel insights based brand/category solutions & activities for Customers in the On Trade channel.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities
Channel and Customer thought Leadership. Develop & translate customer & shopper insights into business building opportunities with specific customers/channels to deliver our AOP .Eg 1). Maximising changing shopper propositions during uncertain or difficult economic times.

Integration of brand marketing plans with customer business plan. Brings the Customer input into Innovation program. Ensures Brand standards/ Brand DNA for channels are adhered to. Eg Advises & works with in market teams on how to best achieve Measurable Marketing Objectives (MMO).. ie penetration, consumption or up-trade as part of Game & account planning process

Coaches and builds capability of in Market Customer Marketing Managers in how to build account/channel specific Customer Marketing Plans to deliver category /brand objectives.

Manage execution of plans & activities including customized offerings. Work with Account managers and Customer Marketing Managers in market to ensure excellence in in-store activation and delivery of Business Plan.

Develop strong relationshipswith Customer at marketing and Activation level. Is the regional “Go To “ expert for big thinking and advisory roles. Uses creative skills to build solutions for retailers and put Diageo as thought leader in solution provider of the category.

Qualifications and Experience Required
Degree/MBA qualifications in relevant tertiary discipline
Commercial awareness and be highly analytical and data literate, understanding and evaluating the profit impact of their actions.
Minimum 5 years in Marketing, Trade Marketing and Sales areas with specific experience in creating category vision and category growth platforms and developing channel strategies and plans.
Exposure to working in rapidly changing environments.
High level of energy and self-starter.
Strong creative skills and bias for creating solutions to consumer /customer opportunities
Flexibility to Travel 40% of the time
Culturally sensitive
Fluent English
Structured thinker with good planning and coordination skills.
