Icelandic Glacial set for wider US airport availability

Icelandic Water Holdings and the US airport operator OTG Management have announced a new agreement that will see the bottled water brand Icelandic Glacial made available in a wider number of outlets.

The deal will allow OTG’s Gibo Gourmet Express Markets to start stocking the water in nine major US airports, including Orlando International, Washington Dulles International and JFK International.

Jon Olafsson, chairman and co-founder of the Icelandic Glacial brand, believes it is important the product is made more widely available.

He said: “By supplying OTG Management’s Cibo Gourmet Express Markets we can now deliver one of the world’s purest waters to some of the nation’s busiest airports, where traveller hydration is extremely important.”

Icelandic Glacial has won a number of awards for its commitments to environmental sustainability, including the top environmental accolade at the BottledWaterWorld Awards 2007, which took place in Mexico City.

It has also been recognised in the past for its bottle and label designs.
