UK: HRIS Specialist

The HRIS Specialist will be the HR Systems lead on larger-scale system enhancement/maintenance projects (e.g. in the case of a system upgrade). They will work alongside IS and the Business change owner to understand the business requirements and translate these into the system functional requirements. This role will work very closely with external strategic partners to ensure the functional design is accurately documented and play a lead role in signing off the functional specification/s developed for the project with the Business change owner.

This role may also provide e-Learning consultation to Business change owners for both internal and externally developed e-Learning content.

Accountabilities

To create and embed solutions that will deliver continuous improvements to our HRIS systems (this role will focus in particular on our Learning & Development system) and ensure optimal experience for our customers (e.g. Employees; Line managers; Global HR; Business partners etc.).

The HRIS Specialist may also be involved in trouble-shooting more complicated system enquiries that cannot be resolved by the HRIS Administrator.

Key Criteria to be successful in this role

  • In-depth knowledge of at least one content management system or web-based application (Learning management system experience will be advantageous)
  • Aptitude to quickly pick up systems and understand their integration points is critical to success in this role
  • Very good MS Excel skills; experience of using MS Access will be advantageous
  • Very good relationship with IS and clear understanding of IS processes
  • Very good stakeholder management skills including experience of and ability to work with outsourced / off-shore 3rd party providers to deliver system enhancements
  • Excellent project management skills including a very good understanding of the project management lifecycle process
