Britvic has announced a 23 per cent increase in its annual profits.
The soft drinks company, whose brands include Pepsi, Robinsons, Tango and Britvic Soft Drinks, reported pre-tax profits of £86.5 million.
Britvic is enjoying success ahead of the acceleration of the market growth rate that beverage market research company.
Earlier this month, Canadean published a report which said that in the carbonated drinks market will enjoy growth in 2010, but that growth will slow towards the end of 2009 as the world enters the “eye of the global financial storm”.
The British Vitamin Products Company – from which Britvic takes its abbreviated name – was founded in the mid-nineteenth century in the market town of Chelmsford in Essex, where the company still has its headquarters.
It is one of the two leading soft drinks businesses in Great Britain and Ireland, supplying a wide range of products to around 200,000 outlets.
