Heineken Appoints New Group Commerce Director

Heineken N V has appointed Alexis Nasard as group commerce director. He will begin the position on February 1st 2010.

Mr Nasard previously worked as general manager at Proctor and Gamble and has held a series of other senior marketing and management roles in Russia, the USA, Switzerland and Germany.

Jean-Francois van Boxmeer, Heineken chief executive officer, said he was “delighted” to welcome Mr Nasard to the role, given his “calibre” and “track record”.

“Alexis possesses an exceptional balance of marketing capabilities, leadership skills and general management experience. This, coupled with his insight-driven, portfolio-based approach, will help drive significant brand and value growth across our portfolio,” he added.

Mr Nasard will be part of Heineken’s Executive Committee and will report to Mr Boxmeer.

Earlier this month, the Heineken Experience, a tourist attraction in Amsterdam, received the Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement in the field of Brand Experience by the Themed Entertainment Association.
