Jim Beam Expands Jobs in Kentucky to Make DeKuyper Cordials

The Jim Beam distilleries in Frankfort and Clermont, Ky., will begin production of DeKuyper cordials and other spirits now being bottled outside of Kentucky.

The jobs will be added to Beam’s Frankfort operations, where the company also plans to invest more than $28 million to upgrade technology over the next two years, according to the release.

The investment is being made to improve operational efficiencies, Jeff Conder, vice president of Americas Operations for Beam Global said in a news release.

Beam Global will add 21,600 square feet to its existing 557,000-square-foot Frankfort plant. The extra space will be used to accommodate expanded production, laboratory, waste-water, processing and shipping, and administrative functions.

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority has granted Beam Global preliminary approval for up to $6.3 million in tax incentives over a 10-year period for the project.

“It’s imperative to capitalize on opportunities that make our operations more efficient and enhance our competitive position. Our Kentucky facilities in Frankfort and Clermont – home of our flagship brand Jim Beam – have the capability to absorb additional bottling activity as well as the potential to accommodate higher volumes in the future.”
