Maryland: National Sales Manager


Staff and direct the sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of sales objectives and contributes to profitable growth in line with company vision and values
• Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for customers and sales team
• Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets
• Accountable for the analysis, segmentation and development of target account lists

  • Develop and maintain local pricing management/intelligence database

• Manages the account planning process that sets measurable goals for key wholesalers, track performance to these goals and initiate counter-measures where goals are not being met
• Conducts regular in-market ‘work with distributor’ schedule to evaluate effectiveness of plan implementation as well as in identifying retail volume/profit opportunities.
• Support distributor sales force in selling Hook & Ladder products though coaching, training and development of distributor’s sales reps and managers on the H&L story, mission and full product line
• Work with internal and external distributor management to identify opportunities and tactics to drive sales volume
• Efficiently and effectively manage a sales budget across accounts and sales team
• Provide forecasts on customer demand to contribute to effective production and inventory management
• Understand beer consumers, consumption and emerging trends that may impact the H&L portfolio and product demand
• Conducts one-on-one review with all members of the sales force to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of team’s sales and activity performance.

  • Assists sales team in preparation of proposals and presentations

• Conducts regular coaching and counseling with sales team to build motivation and selling skills
