Stella’s Designer Chalice Pub Glass

Clothes designer Tim Hamilton has designed a chalice glass for Stella Artois, celebrating the brand’s “quest for perfection”.

Some 1,000 of the limited-edition glasses have been made, a small number of which will be available in the UK to be given out as competition prizes.

“We’re extremely excited to be working with such an important and interesting designer to build on our iconic chalice glass,” said Andreas Hilger, marketing director for Stella Artois.

The glass was unveiled at the final of the Stella Artois World Draught Master competition in New York.

Some 30 finalists from 26 countries competed to win the title of 16th Stella Artois World Draught Master.

The UK had two entries, Will Maltby from London’s Princess Victoria pub and a wild-card entry, Stella Artois fan Danny Fernandez, who won his place via a Facebook competition. Both men went out in the first round leaving New Zealander Avril Maxwell to take the crown.
