Aspall Considers UK Launch Of 11 Per Cent Cider


Aspall is considering launching a new product for UK pubs – an 11 per cent double fermented cider.

Cuvee Chevallier, which is currently packaged in a champagne-type bottle, has recently gone on sale in America – and already sold out.

And now the Suffolk-based company is weighing up whether to launch it in Britain.

Henry Chevallier Guild, partner at Aspall, said: “We have already received some very positive feedback from some of our on-trade customers in the UK.

“I could definitely see us launching it for pubs here, it’s the obvious place, it’s just a question of when.”

He added that “upmarket outlets” would be the most likely stockists.
