Baltika Breweries To Export To Malaysia

The company filed a statement saying that at the end of November the brewer shipped 17.000 liters of its brand Nine Extra to Malaysia. Baltika is the only Russian beer sold in Malaysia and is presented in the premium segment, priced at 12 ringgit (2.50 euros) per half liter can.
The Regional Export Sales Manager(Asia Pacific) from Baltika Breweries, Konstantin Sabelnikov, said in the statement: “The current per capita beer consumption in Malaysia is only 5 litres per year. Nonetheless, the country’s economic potential, the increase in foreign investment, and the flow of tourists mean we can expect growth in the premium imported beer segment in Malaysia. It is in precisely this segment that Baltika Nine Extra will be offered.”

Baltika also sells its products in Vietnam, Japan, China, Mongolia and other countries. Revenue in those countries made up 36 percent of the brewer’s total revenue. (bmg)
