Barons signs Agreement with Outback

Barons Brewing (Australia) has signed an agreement to licence and distribute Outback Brewing’s brands.

This is Baron’s fourth licence acquisition this year and means that all of Outback’s global sales will be controlled by the brewer, as will marketing.

“Barons is continuously striving to provide a more dynamic beer landscape to both retailers and consumers here in Australia and overseas,” said Barons director Scott Garnett.

“Outback is a brand we believe will prosper on an international platform when given the proper resources to strengthen its global appeal.”

Snowy Mountains Brewery, Lucky Beer and Byron Bay Premium Ale were acquired by Barons earlier this year.

In the sixth months after taking over Lucky Beer, the brand saw 600 per cent growth.

Barons brands, including Lucky, 88 Balls and Snowy Mountains, are brewed and sold across the world. The company’s beers are available in over 300 taps in St Petersburg, Russia, alone.
