Naya Spring Water To use 100% Recycled Plastic Bottles

naya-spring-waters

Naya Spring Water has announced it is using 100 per cent recycled plastic, or rPET, in its bottles.

The company claims to be the first bottled spring water producer to do so.

Naya’s rPET bottles have been approved by the American Food and Drug Administration and meet the same safety standards as other plastic bottles on the market.

Daniel Cotte, president of Naya Waters, said: “We’re proud to be the first major spring water brand to introduce 100 per cent recycled plastic bottles, which is a win for the environment as well as for consumers who enjoy bottled water and want to reduce their impact.”

He added that the innovation shows that Naya is committed to putting the environment at the heart of the company’s strategy.

Last week, the Coca-Cola Company announced that, as a result of its work with Greenpeace, all of its new vending machines and coolers will be hydrofluorocarbon-free and, therefore, more environmentally friendly.
