Smirnoff Launches London iPhone Application

Top vodka brand Smirnoff has teamed up with Time Out magazine to launch a new iPhone app focused on London events and experiences – and pubs can ensure they get a mention.

The free app will be available from Friday 18th December and features Time Out content on events and experiences in London, including nightlife, culture and eating out.

London pubs interested in getting their venue mentioned in the “Smirnoff Hot Picks” weekly round-up, or highlighting that drinkers can try Smirnoff Black vodka at their pub, should get in touch with their Diageo representative.

The app will be promoted with an online and print campaign in Time Out, features on smirnoff.com and facebook and PR. Time Out will email its database of 165,000 London customers.

The information can also be accessed via a dedicated webiste, at www.timeout.com/smirnoff. Content will include the “Smirnoff Hot Picks” round-up of the week’s can’t miss events and a booking ahead service.

Every month Smirnoff & Time Out will run competitions offering users the chance to explore nightlife spots around the world. December’s competition prize is a trip to New York.
