Coca-Cola has launched a new campaign for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
The multi-faceted Olympic Games-themed programme is called Open the Games, Open Happiness.
A group of high-profile US Olympians and sports champions, known as the Coca-Cola Six Pack of athletes are helping to promote the campaign along with limited edition Olympic Games-themed packaging.
Katie Bayne, chief marketing officer at Coca-Cola North America, said: “Our special packaging and overall Coca-Cola Olympic Games programme are a great way to celebrate the Games and open a little happiness while enjoying the exciting competition with your friends and family.”
The Six Pack includes five-time Olympic medallist Apolo Anton Ohno, who won his medals for short track speed skating, and Gretchen Bleiler, who won a silver medal in snowboarding.
Earlier this month, Coca-Cola’s three “happiness ambassadors” began their 275,000-mile journey around the 206 countries and territories where Coca-Cola is sold.
They kicked off their voyage by bringing in the new year with party-goers in Madrid, Spain.
