Police Appeal Over Stolen Grant’s
Police have appealed for the public to contact them if they are offered suspicious sales of whisky, following a theft from a Scottish depot last week.
Two trailer loads of more than £100,000 worth of Grant’s blended whisky, were taken from the Currie Group Yard at Heathhall, at around midnight on February 10.
The tractor units; one a white Scania and a blue Daf, were found abandoned 30 miles apart in Wigan and Widnes six hours later.
Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary said: “If anybody saw the trailers in either areas or are offered Grant’s whisky for sale that they think might be suspicious, we would be glad if they contacted us
