SABMiller ubsidiary Donates Beverages To Peruvians Affected By Recent Storms

SABMiller Peruvian subsidiary Backus is providing support to people in the Cusco region that have been worst affected by recent severe weather.

Backus has donated food items and material which can be used for protection from the storms.

It has, to date, donated 300 zinc sheets and 82,560 bottles of beverages that will be distributed by Quinta Brigada de Montana to people from Cusco, Andahuaylillas and Machupicchu.

These beverages include 44,400 Guarana and Viva Backus bottles and 38,160 San Mateo mineral water bottles.

The company’s distribution truck fleet is being used to transport aid to the affected areas and last weekend they transported portable toilets to the district of Lucre.

Victims of another recent natural disaster – the Haiti earthquake, are receiving aid from both the Coca-Cola Foundation and PepsiCo.

PepsiCo announced last month that it was donating $1 million (£611,920) and a variety of products to those affected by the earthquake.
