Boston: District Manager


We seek a strong manager with excellent communication skills, a strong commercial background as well as a broad knowledge of wine industry, especially in the fine wine category. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing sales, gross profit and strengthening brands, while contributing to the overall success of the Northeastern Division. To be successful, this position requires strong analytical capabilities used to evaluate sales and market activities with proactive recommendations and clear strategic plans. The Northeastern District Manager reports to the Northeastern Division Vice President.

• Provide leadership to the day-to-day sales activities of the distributors and key accounts in the designated territory, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals
• Manage, motivate, mentor and support the wholesale sales managers to maximize sales opportunities
• Build, manage, maintain and nurture strong and productive business relationships with the regional distribution network including distributor management and sales representatives
• Build, manage, maintain and nurture strong and productive business relationships with key retail, restaurant and resort accounts in key markets as well as regional/national accounts in coordination with broader HV sales team
• Manage district shipment goals, depletion goals and T&E expense budget – ensuring you hit sales and depletion numbers on budget and to plan.
• Provide market feedback to sales and marketing teams with regards to wines, positioning, pricing, promotion and distribution points
• Lead semi-annual business reviews with every distributor partner. Participate in weekly team meetings, with strong team member participation required.
