California: PR Manager


Promote Foster’s wines in the U.S. via positive coverage of the wines, winemaking/viticulture staffs and wineries. Play critical strategic role in development of brand proposition; brand plans and implementation of promotional programs that touch consumers, media and trade. Increase brand awareness and image through effective and creative communications. Work with all marketing divisions and sales teams to support sales goals. People management within PR brand group;

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Media Relations
• Initiate and maintain positive relationships with media that ultimately deliver positive coverage of wines; wineries; events
• Develop and implement key messages to target influencers (media; consumer; gatekeepers) for individual brands and programs
• Identify and build relationships/networking opportunities with key consumer influencers
• Design and implement all market visits for visiting or U.S. based winemakers. Coordinate travel activity with sales representatives for winemaker exposure to key accounts and distributor sales forces; media and consumers where appropriate.
• Write copy for fact sheets, winemaker letters, press releases and ancillary promotional materials for all brands.

  • Manage execution of timely wine mailings to press.

• Develop feature story ideas for brands and pitch to media for placement in national outlets.
• Handle requests from press for wines, information, materials, photos, etc.

  • Act as host for press tours, tastings, meals, etc.
  • Create and revise press kit materials as needed, including photos.
  • Act as spokesperson for the brand(s) as needed.

• Develop appropriate pr messages/positioning for each brand.
