SABMiller’s Peroni Nastro Azzurro Set for Netherlands Launch

SABMiller is launching Peroni Nastro Azzurro in the Netherlands this month

The beer is to be imported from Italy and will be distributed in 330ml bottles in selected Italian restaurants, upmarket bars and clubs, and leading domestic caterers and delicatessens.

SABMiller’s Dutch operation, Royal Grolsch NV, is to manage the brand’s marketing, sales and distribution in the country.

Andrew Walker, global brand director at Peroni Nastro Azzurro, said: “Peroni Nastro Azzurro’s unique Italian style positioning, as well as the Dutch consumer demand for new experiences means the brand is well-placed to be very successful in the Netherlands.”

First brewed in 1963, Peroni Nastro Azzurro is a 5.1 per cent ABV lager. It is currently available in Australia, various African countries, France, India, Peru, Poland, Romania, Russia, Japan, the UK and the USA.

Mr Walker said that the brand has enjoyed success in other countries due to the retention of its Italian heritage and style.
