Thatchers Branches Out

It’s a busy month for Thatchers Cider, with the first TV campaign for Thatchers Gold coupled with the launch of Green Goblin on draught.

The TV campaign for the producer’s flagship brand begins in May, running on ITV1 West and Central South for five weeks, and again in July, during prime-time programmes such as Coronation Street.

The campaign, built around the theme “People Who Care About Cider”, will focus on the heritage and expertise of Thatchers. It will be supported by trade press and outdoor posters.

“It is an exciting move for us to be bringing Thatchers Gold onto TV for the first time,” said managing director Martin Thatcher.

Separately, the producer has announced that its 6% ABV bittersweet Green Goblin Cider is now available on draught, just weeks after it joined the Thatchers portfolio.

“We couldn’t keep all that beauty bottled up – so we have gone one better and made Green Goblin available on draught, fresh from our 100-year-old oak vats,” explained Thatcher.
