USA: Sales Director


Develops sales strategies, maintains operating budgets/sales forecasts, and manages the overall execution of the sales plan. Responsible for maximizing revenues from a base of reseller -businesses such as distributors or retailers. Locates, evaluates and recruits potential chain Food and Drug or Club opportunities. -Assists businesses (distributors & retailers) to increase their sales by developing customer specific sales programs and – supports -these businesses throughout the sales process.  Financial Responsibility Responsible for cluster scan and brand promotional budget, and Travel and Expense budgetBeat the plan and competition through Net Sales Value, trading profits, growing IRI share/market and growing volume and value. (May be responsible for NSV of $xx mill – xx mill and OP of $xx mill – xxx mill) Include dollar amount or removeResponsible for maximizing Return on Investment, maintaining customer and brand focus, managing price/promo for profit, attainment of business unit strategy and implementing an effective/efficient grid to achieve the plan  Complexity of Role Has a deep understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market environment or the needs/challenges of assigned accounts.Develops colleagues’ and customers’ understanding.Recognized as an expert in one or more areas.Complexity is extremely high (territory/account, products/services, sales or account management process); serves as team lead and liason to other clusters as well as regional Food/Drug and Club customers. Management Responsibility Has extremely high authority/opportunity to set and negotiate product/service terms.Plans own territory or account approach and has input into colleagues’ approaches; manages own and often others’ resources within Diageo standards.Responsible for Diageo’s business and brand agenda within a specified region.
