Coca-Cola Great Britain has become a top tier sponsor of RecycleBank, enhancing the variety of rewards offered to members of the scheme.
From June, 60,000 households in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead participating in the RecycleBank programme will be able to get money vouchers for Coca-Cola brands.
The company is already a partner in the US version of the scheme and now UK participants will be able to claim £1 off Coca-Cola, Diet Coke and Coke Zero products in a range of pack sizes.
“As well as ensuring we recycle our own waste as a business, we are committed to encouraging our consumers to recycle theirs,” said Liz Lowe, citizenship manager at Coca-Cola.
The company has worked with the scheme in the US since its inception in 2004 and this new partnership adds to the company’s other work on recycling in the UK, including WRAP.
Also this week, the Coca-Cola’s Dr Pepper brand has launched a new social networking initiative, including a Facebook app and fan page.
