Coca-Cola has launched a new app which allows consumers to trace their beverage’s journey from factory to their fridge.
The new Trace Your Coke application makes up part of the soft drinks giant’s corporate social responsibility initiatives and allows users to explore the firm’s UK factories and find out more about the people that work there.
People can also see what the carbon footprint of Coke is and discuss how the drink’s environmental impact could be reduced.
Liz Lowe, citizenship manager at Coca-Cola GB, said: “Trace Your Coke provides a fun, interactive way for our consumers to find out information that matters to them whilst reinforcing the importance of recycling.”
The app is available for free on the Coca-Cola website.
Earlier this week, it was reported by the Wall Street Journal that Coca-Cola is launching a new freestyle drinks machine which allows restaurant diners to create up to 104 different drinks.
