USA: On/Off Premise Wine & Spirits Sales Manager-Team Leader

Manages team of sales representatives and activities for the On/Off Premise division within the assigned territorial area. Motivate and teach selling techniques to assigned team of sales representatives.

Required Skills

  • Responsible for the sales goals, skill development and product knowledge of assigned team of sales representatives.
  • Must have excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must have a professional appearance and maintain personal hygiene.
  • Train team of sales representatives, teach selling techniques and work with team in the market a minimum of 4 days per week.
  • Evaluate and critique all accounts in each assigned sales representative’s territory.
  • Know each retailer in assigned territory.
  • Responsible for all sales, survey’s, incentive recaps, and required paperwork related to assigned team.
  • Attend promotional events.
  • Maintain a solid and positive working relationship with all Southern Wine & Spirits customers and employees.
  • Treat all people (fellow employees, customers, and suppliers) with respect.
  • Insure all company required paperwork is turned in on time, accurate and neat.
  • Checks route books and insures that salespeople have up to date point of sale selling material and correct pricing on all products sold by assigned team.
  • Coordinates and makes presentations to buyers in assigned territories.
  • Performs all required supplier and SWSNM work-withs.
  • Performs all work related duties as assigned and insures assigned salespeople do the same.
  • Insure all monies owed to SWSNM are submitted in a proper and timely manner.
  • Evaluate salesperson performance on a regular basis.
  • Develop and maintain a strong teamwork concept with all salespeople.
  • Manage team to reach case goals and all other objectives set forth by SWSNM.
  • Insure attendance of team to all mandatory SWSNM functions – training sessions, sales meetings, etc.
  • Assists in troubleshooting and solving customer, supplier and salesperson’s work related situations.
  • Insure coverage of all sick and vacation time within assigned territory.
  • Insure all company P.O.S. is used efficiently to maximize distribution and sales.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, State and Federal laws and regulations governing our industry.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Southern Wine & Spirits business.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned by management.
