Baltika Breweries To Export To Malaysia

The company filed a statement saying that at the end of November the brewer shipped 17.000 liters of its brand Nine Extra to Malaysia. Baltika is the only Russian beer sold in Malaysia and is presented in the premium segment, priced at 12 ringgit (2.50 euros) per half liter can. The Regional Export Sales Manager(Asia Pacific) from Baltika Breweries, Konstantin Sabelnikov, said in the statement: "The current per capita beer consumption in Malaysia is only 5 litres per year. Nonetheless, the country's economic potential, the increase in foreign investment, and the flow of tourists mean we can expect growth in the premium imported beer segment in Malaysia. Baltika Launches Beer For Women

Baltika Breweries is to launch a beer for women. Named Eve, the drink will have a low ABV (3.1%) and is to come in two flavours: grapefruit and passion fruit.
The drink is to launch in late December and it has been created by the Carlsberg Group. The manufacturing process involves the addition of fruit juice to a malt base. World Class Beer Sommeliers Vote Baltika To Be The Best-Tasting Beer

An international jury announced the results of the European Beer Star Awards, one of the most prestigious contests in the beer-brewing field, on November 18, 2009 in Nuremberg, Germany. Two sorts of the Baltika Select beer line were among those brands which received "gold." Baltika №4 Original was voted as the best beer in the Red and Amber category, while Baltika №6 Porter won in the Porter category. A total of 836 sorts of beer from 35 countries took part in the contest. The competition organizers noted that the battle for best beer was especially intense this year, with 20% more participants taking part in the contest this year than last. Alexander Dedegkaev, Vice-president Supply Chain, Baltika Breweries: "The competition at contests of this level is always very intense: after all, these contests feature the best and most famous brands of beer. We are even more pleased that it was harder to win the reputation of best beer this year: this just makes our victory all the more respected and valuable. Arsenalnoe Traditional beer will be distributed throughout Chile, with most sales concentrated in the largest cities of the country. Baltika Breweries has created a label with a Latinized Arsenalnoe logo specifically for the Chilean market, as well as a special 'four-pack' packaging.
