Anheuser-Busch is providing 2,200 cases - or approximately 53,000 cans of drinking water - for use by Kentucky residents affected by water line breaks that have left thousands of residents in Perry County without water.
A truckload of water has been shipped from Cartersville, Ga., and will arrive tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. to a warehouse at 2751 Christopher Road in Hazard, Ky. The Salvation Army and local emergency services will distribute the water to residents in Kentucky affected by the water outage. [...more]

market, with a high marketing concentration in the Tampa Bay area. United

Naya Spring Water has announced it is using 100 per cent recycled plastic, or rPET, in its bottles.
The company claims to be the first bottled spring water producer to do so.
Naya's rPET bottles have been approved by the American Food and Drug Administration and meet the same safety standards as other plastic bottles on the market. [...more]
Nestlé Waters UK is changing its sponsorship of the London Marathon from bottled water brand Vittel to Nestle Pure Life.
Vittel had been a sponsor of the event for 11 years but this will switch to Nestle Pure Life from 2010. At the same time the headline sponsorship changes from Flora to Virgin.

its bottles. Recycled plastic, or rPET, is made from plastic that was
previously used as packaging, then recycled and processed to create new
Danone Waters of America (DWA) announces the appointment of Nick Krzyzaniak as President and General Manager. Elio Pacheco, who currently holds this position, has been promoted within Danone to General Manager of the evian Volvic Export Business Unit. Both roles will be effective January 1, 2010.
Currently the Managing Director of Danone Waters UK and Ireland Ltd., Krzyzaniak is returning to his home country of the U.S. where he formerly held the positions of Senior Vice President, Sales as well as Executive Vice President, Commercial Development for The Dannon Company, Inc. also a Danone subsidiary. Vitaminwater is owned by The Coca-Cola Company (Coca-Cola). According to the company, it is a nutrient-enhanced water that provides a range of functional benefits.
