Molson Coors has appointed a new marketing director.
Chris McDonough, currently marketing and R&D director and Ireland general manager on the Muller UK board, will be joining Molson Coors (UK) as marketing director from June 2010.
McDonough has held a marketing controller role at Bacardi Martini, has over 10 years of experience at Mars across numerous UK and European brand roles and spent five years at Muller. [...more]

Molson Coors Brewing and NWT Enterprises have partnered to introduce Coors Light in Trinidad and Tobago to be available in supermarkets, convenience stores, bars and casual dining restaurants throughout the US and 10 countries across the Caribbean.
The company said that the introduction of Coors Light to the Trinidad and Tobago market is part of a global expansion strategy. Other markets where Coors Light is being launched include Costa Rica and Curacao Bonaire. Coors Light is available in 25 countries, including Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, Ireland, and China.
The company said that beginning this month, retailers in Trinidad and Tobago will carry Coors Light bottles and cans. All packages will feature mountains on the label with thermochromatic ink that turns blue when Coors Light is chilled. [...more]
Molson Coors has signed a new agreement with wine company Bibendum, which will give pubs greater choice.
From the new year, licensees will be able to choose from a larger range of wines, as part of the Molson Coor's One Stop Shop Service.

This month, Coors Light will become available in Trinidad & Tobago, where the fourth-largest beer market in the Caribbean will get a taste of an American drink that's been around for more than a 130 years.
The dual-island nation has the highest per-capita consumption of beer in the region, according to Molson Coors.

Molson Coors, a beer brewing company, has launched M, a microcarbonated lager beer that consists of 4.9% alcohol/volume.
The new lager is brewed using Molson Coors' microcarbonization process that is implemented at the company's brewery on Notre-Dame Street in Montreal. During the process, the beer is injected with CO2 through smaller, finer bubbles with a high level of consistency, the company said.
Karine Brunelle, brewer with Molson Coors, said: "The injection of smaller CO2 bubbles makes it possible to preserve not only the taste of the hops but also the delicate flavours generated by the yeast during fermentation."
The company said that the microcarbonization process, for which a patent is pending, required substantial investment in its Montreal brewery.
